Thanks for having me.

Let’s do something together.

  • Lana and her family

This is my friend Noran’s best friend Lana. She is currently a young mother in a tent in Gaza raising her one-year-old son during a genocide. A pack of diapers costs $100. Let’s surprise Lana and baby Mohammad by helping her campaign along.

  • Belal and his family

My friend Karima, a medical student from Gaza, evacuated last December. Her childhood friend Belal did not. His family is living in a tent, and his father was recently caught by a bomb and is covered in burns. Belal has 18 family members, and could use all the support he can get.

  • Sudan's Grassroots Response

There are fewer gofundmes for specific families in Sudan, but the situation is no less urgent. Instead, grassroots responses such as emergency kitchens and clinics have popped up, most of which require very few donations to keep running. Only a $10 monthly donation can go a long way, so I am following the advice of Nisrin Amin, Sudanese academic and historian, in setting up a monthly donation for the Sudan Solidarity Collective, which then distributes it according to need.
